I graduated from ASU December of 1999 and immediatly stared my teaching career in Iredell-Statesville schools .  I then moved to Hiddenite Elementary the following year.  I have been teaching second grade at Hiddenite for eight years now and love it.  I also really enjoy my masters program.  It has  allowed me to reflect on my teaching practices and has given me new ideas and insight.  It is also wonderful to be around other adults and have meaningful conversations.  This includes class-time and carpooling to and from class.

My driving force is my family.  I have two girls ages 3 and 5 and they make my life very interesting.  I have often said to company that my house may not be fun, but it is never boring.  They are always bursting with energy and full of imagination that I find inspiring.  They are girls in every way.  They hate to get dirty, wear dresses every day, and cry if they can’t wear hose and tapping shoes.  These traits do not stem from their mother, but I do love it at the moment (except at the park).

Hiddenite is a great school! I grew up in Hiddenite, and I did my high school internship in a kindergarten classroom at Hiddenite Elementary…I loved it!

By the way, your girls are so cute!
